Hi,

I'm just wondering... the cases on this page:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Lian_Li_Cases.html

The top one is indeed this one from the Lian-Li web page with the 80mm fan exhaust? I've seen some photos with it having a roof fan as well, is this true?

I've googled everywhere and cannot find the Lian Li PC-007 case with the 120mm fan intake and 120mm fan exhaust... it says OEM, does that mean it's unavailable in most cases? People have been recommending this one, but I'd prefer one with a 120mm exhaust.

The PC7+II (some retailers list it just as the PC7+) has 120mm 120mm and space for a top blowhole.

The PC007, which is only available to system builders but again OcUK have shipped some, has 120mm 120mm Blue LED fans and space for a fan in the top blowhole space.

Hope that cleared it up?

Yes, it is very confusing, so by the looks of things... we're not certain whether the Lian Li case listed on the top of the OcUK page is the [2x 120mm] one or the [1x 80mm & 1x 120mm] one?

The current supply of PC7+'s that OcUK have are the one's with 1 x 120mm & 1 x 80mm fans.It got told this via email yesterday. :(

...hmm... 80mm exhaust hole at the back? Doesn't sound promising for me. :(

Seems to be getting mixed responses. I'm still awaiting my webnote response regarding both the PC7 in black and silver.

I damn well hope they don't come with 80mm fans, I thought they came with two 120mm fans front and back.
Thats also what it says on the description, however if this is the case, and it does have 80mm fans, I will not be ordering one.

It says "Fan: 12 cm ball bearing x 1, 8 cm sleeve fan x 1" in the description.

But mixed responses here have told me that it comes with 2x 120mm fan holes on the front and rear. Ideally... this would be better than a 80mm fan hole at the rear.

I did send them 3 webnote messages, with an auto-response telling me that all 3 messages will be answered by one person. But only one question was answered. :(

I like the look of the cases, it's small and lightweight... and cheap! Just need confirmation on the specification.

I have an old style PC6 or maybe its a PC7, anyway, it looks pretty much the same as the PC7 does, except it uses all 80mm fans and its loud.
The new PC7 cases they have for sale on here, I was told it used two 120mm fans one in the front and one in the back, with option of one in the top.

I'm thinking the ones shipped here are the Lian Li PC7-Plus II, and OcUK simply have the description wrong along with the link - I'm hoping anyway, as the people here have suggested that they all received the one with dual 120mm fan mounts.

80MM fans are loud, and I particularly prefer 120mm, as they push a decent amount of air even at low RPM - reducing noise. :)

Ok for anyone else' interest...

Dear KBC,

Thank you for your webnote, we cannot guarantee which one we have in stock at the moment, however most people have reported receiving the 120MM version.

Regards,

Hmm.... same message here then. Sounds promising.

As I've seen other places sell the 120mm version at premium prices, which is a joke.

i received my Lian Li PC7 plus in black,it has 2 x 120mm fans front and back,
it also has a 80mm blow whole if you want to put a fan on the top of the case,
my builder loves them and so do i now,i think it's the same as my old one from 5 years ago,but that one had 2x80mm in the front and a 80mm in the back, good value for the money,

Excellent! I am now tempted to go for the black one. :)

Silver, I prefer it so everyone else should like it aswell :p ;)

You decided yet and hit the buy button?

Nope. :) Will wait until some of my exams are over and perhaps order it in June or sooner...

Currently have a Centurion 531... the front panel is coming apart and would like a newer case to house the components in. And I'm hoping this one will perform even better than the one I have now.

I do prefer the look of this Lian Li case as opposed to my current one.

I was considering the black one because scratches are less likely to show up? The front bezel of my Centurion 531 is scratched and pretty noticeable.

A lot more likely to show up on the Lian Li cases.

The silver is already brushed, as is the black, but it hides scratches very well.

OK... let's diverse... aside from Lian Li cases, what other cases will offer excellent cooling performance for the same price as this PC7? :)

£30 to your door for the silver.

PC60 side windows are the same as the PC7+ ones, so they are interchangeable. Do not get caught in the price trap of paying over £25 for the window.

Hmm still quite dear for a window... may leave that, since I've no LEDs in my case anyway. :)

I wish there were some comparison shots between the silver and the black one. :)

Oh yes! :)

Superb looking case, just fitting everything into it now from my Eclipse, anyone even slightly thinking of getting one should do so straight away!, like i said before only my Black Widow comes close to it. I've been spoilt by the Eclipse's space inside, so it's taking longer than i thought to move everything into the Lian-Li (thank god for the laptop).

I did buy some bezels from OcUK and they look awesome aswell.

Would like to get the side window but at the mo i can't justify the £30, maybe next pay day :D

Can I just ask? How come you're switching from the Eclipse case to the smaller Lian Li? The Eclipse was quite a shocking case I believe with superior cooling.

Well justified.

I will have to place my order for one. Though still having a hard time with which color to choose. I've a black keyboard, black monitor and black speakers.... :)

i've always had a black or dark case and fancied a change, plus i knew the black went with that colour cause of my housemates case, i think it looks rather good

i think the black looks a lot better with silver when it isnt so cluttered (ie with the fan controller in) now it looks messy, think i'll take it out tomorrow unless i get used to it

Looks nice. :) But in my opinion, I think black would look even better to match the color of those drives. :p

I've only a single beige DVD-RW, I assume I can get an aluminium bezel so that I can rip off the beige one and attach the silver one?
