Hi All,

I have a Lian Li Dynamic XL, I currently have 3 side fans intake, 3 bottom Fans intake and X62 Kraken AIO with two 140mm Fans running as exhaust at the top of the case.

I have the option of adding a rear exhaust fan. Currently the cpu pump and radiator exhaust fans are being run by the NZXT CAM software, the 3 bottom fans and side fans are being run on a set speed with no software management.

The question I have is, which is the best cooling configuration for the case and how can I run the other 6 fans so that they respond to changes in temp.

I'm in a slightly different config as I have a custom water loop but I set all fans to a constant speed in the BIOS. However, the BIOS does allow for speed increases as the temps increases.

What are your temps like? Your current setup should be fine. I don't like using CLC radiators as intake because only one component is normally cooled by them, meaning everything else is air cooled. Air cooled components have an almost exactly 1:1 ratio of air temp vs component temp at given load and fan speed, but water cooling is not. So it's way more important for airflow near room ambient to be going to air cooled components than it is to water cooled components.

My temps seem quite good although I find temps are usually good after a new install. That said I have not put the PC under load as yet because I've been working I might give it a try tonight however. The fans are my issue at the moment, I have 3 NZXT RGB which are a pain in this case because I have to turn them with the RGB facing the wrong way because they are designed for exhaust. I also have three fans with a separate controller which I have had to remove from the old case as they have special connectors and cannot be connected to the usual 3 or 4 pin on the motherboard. So I need 3 new fans.

I'm really torn because if I buy more NZXT fans I will have to face them on the RBG side and if I choose to buy some corsair LL's I will have to install yet another piece of software to control them, it's all so confusing.

I've literally just posted this up. The Neo Qube case I have is basically the case you have..,..I'm looking to kit it out with all 9 fan slots like the images in my thread. Can I ask what fans you have? Did you have to reverse the bottom 3 so that the fan frame is showing? (that's my gripe just now but that might be because I don't know what type fo fans to get that I an se the RGB looking properly.)

I am using 3 nzxt aer 2 fans 3 game max fans from my old case which I intend to change. I have the same dilemma from what I have read it's best to have intake side and bottom and exhaust on top which is not the best for the aesthetics but I'm looking to see what fans would suit the look so far either the thermalake riing because of the light coming from the side or the corsair ll's however I have considered just going with aesthetics over cooling and having the side fans exhaust and and button intake. There's no simple solution.

I use two Akasa FP5 to get mobo control (bios on x570 Aorus Elite) of fans connected to my gpu aio (6 in total with a y-splitter & I need MSIafterburner for fan speed; AMD software stopped allowing fan speed control), and 1 on the other cable (it has a long reach from bottom intake to CPUfan1 header at top of board). I would have enough fans to fully fill the case if the GPU AIO radiator had long enough tubes to be mounted as side intake (currently sitting outside the case and exhausting onto my 14TB WD elements backup drive).
