lian li edge 1300w pre orders

Just looking at getting one of these and it's showing as preorder. Did they ever get some in stock or are you still waiting?

Cheers I'll get in touch with them then and see what kind of lead time there is. Not that I'm in any rush. I'm starting a new build with a Ryzen 7 9800x3d which will likely be delivered at the end of Jan.

Also looking at getting this PSU early next year, ideal pairing with the O11 i am also looking at - and another big draw is the nice braided cables!

May be a silly question but why does it come with a plug as a free gift - does it not already come with a plug?

I'm looking at this PSU for my next build which is probably going to be in a Vision Compact White. But silly question...

I currently run an NZXT S340, would there be any compatability issues with these L-shaped style PSU's and this style of case with bottom mount PSU shroud?

I don't get the fascination with these psu's as I think it's a ridiculous design. If you install the psu correctly with the fan facing down in a conventional case (or the right side panel in the Lian Li 011 and the copy cat cases) so that the psu can cool itself with air from outside the case you are losing a load of cable length. Have a look at the psu fan and then the bit where the cables plug in and you will see they are facing the same direction which means the bottom of the psu is against the motherboard tray with the cable sockets facing the side panel or bottom panel. You plug your cable in then it has to do a 180 degree bend to get into the actual case so you are going to lose 4-6" of cable length depending on how stiff the cables are. You are better off with a conventional psu as the cables only have to do a 90 degree bend to get into the main part of the case.

Yea it's not a gamechanger but does seem to make things easier to connect on the dual chamber cases. I'm only looking at fitting to my regular case for a short time.

It doesn't though, even in their own dual chamber cases such as the 011 series the case has a vent in the right side panel for the psu to suck air through meaing that the bit where the cables plug in will be facing that side panel leading to the cable having to do a 90 degree or 180 degree bend to get into the case itself. A conventional style psu would be either zero degrees or 90 degrees that the cables would have to bend. I can't think of a single case that these psu's would make cable management easier than with a conventional psu. It's just a gimmick and I can't understand what they were thinking when they designed this psu because it doesn't seem to have any advantages over a conventional psu apart from a few usb ports.

Just ordered one. Any news on the next lot of stock? Hopefully they come in before the 5090s drop.

they seem to go out of stock very quickly, im thinking of doing the same - I'm planning a new build in a couple months but since making a build on ************ im noticing stock and prices are fluctuating wildly on nearly all parts. I may need to be smart and buy the hard to get items early.

I did see some new PSUs were one of the things by lian li at kitguru CES coverage before it got deleted but seemed like an alternate option - i believe lian li are going to have their own video soon(tm) showcasing new products. If you didnt see the video on the new PSU you could rotate the power socket from the back or the side, could make some case designs interesting.

Any updates on this. Has anyone received one recently?
I incorectly got a shed load of in stock emails on friday, it was like 45 emails within an hour! - I called up customer services and they said the notification was broken sometimes but also they had no records of any 1300w variant coming in.

I noticed the edge gold is now up, i have pre-ordered that one instead. £50 cheaper and comes with a fan hub, only 1200w max & gold rated vs platinum though

Just had a message back from ocuk support and they say they are expecting the platinum mid to late February. When's the gold version due in?
