Lian LI Fan controller 2.0 should i use the usb or fan header?

hi should i use the fan header or the usb to conect to motherboard ? as it conflicts when both conected what one is best?

i use usb for mine
dont think you will get rgb control otherwise
though never tried fan header
or connecting both at same time
