Hi there, I got my new Lian Li but am having problems installing expansion cards. Basically, it seems as if the lineup is off, and I don't know what to do. Pics below to explain what I mean:

This is how it lines up at the top:

And this is in the socket:

As you can see it's not sitting in the socket properly :(

Can anyone please help me figure this out?

Thanks!

My 8800GT did that in my Akasa mirage, I had to screw the motherboard tray to the case (there were screw holes already to do so). Also my old PCI nebula TV card sits kinda like that, with the contacts showing but it still works ok.

Yeah I've got the risers in, it all lines up on the back plate as well. I thought of using double risers, but then the back plate wouldn't fit :(

I'm not sure what you mean, but have you pushed the card in that slot enough?
It looks like a P5Q-E Motherboard, which is what I have and when I put a sound card in that slot, it was quite tight so I had to push hard.

Edit - I was putting mine in a bigger slot, but I still had to push hard to get it in there.

My lian li V2010 is like this. I only really notice it on my NIC though. The graphics card is fine, as is the soundcard. The case looks in no way buckled, so it's probably just bad alignment with the mobo tray.

PC-A71A. Thanks for the help guys.
Is it with older solid motherboard tray or with newer A7x10 style tray with some holes/slots in it?

I'm modding A71 assembled in fifth of May and when I checked motherboard tray has about 1mm of loose vertically so it might be possible to rise it that much by pushing some cardboard under front end and by attaching back end that much higher by those thumbscrews which hold tray in its place.
Basing to pics that wouldn't solve it totally but anything which helps is good... especially if it can be done that easily/cheaply.

I have just had the same problem with my Lian Li v1000z. The I/O ports did not line up and neither did the expansion ports. I have since returned my case and await a replacement.

Apparantly it is a common problem with the V1000z.....

if it was me i would have sent it back and kicked up a fuss

lainli prices should reflect good quality - they should sort it if they supplied you with a duffer
