Hi guys

Today I built my first ever PC (ive always bought premade ones)

It took me a good 4 hours to transfer stuff from old case to this new one but I got it working first time (well almost)

My question is about the AUTO fan feature, im not sure ive got it working OR my motherboard doesnt support it

When I switch to auto fan it seems like when I load GPU/CPU heavy games it doesnt speed up. Im not clued up on PC's at all so does the PWM feature auto detect temps and adjust fan speeds?

Also this is my motherboard so im not sure it work (https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/Z370-HD3-rev-10#kf)

ps. The switch at the top works so i can set it to LOW/HIGH etc

so all the fans are plugged into the HUB i nthe back of the case and then the main fan output of that is going to sys_fan 1

I read in the manual to plug that into any empty PWM slot but I couldnt see one hence why I asked the question about my MB

I'm pretty sure you can either control the fan speed with the actual controller on the case or through software, but not both. You will need to make sure that the fans are connected to a pwm header and not the fan controller on the case. However, this will make the controller on the case useless.

The fan controller included with this case has four settings: low, medium, high, auto.

When switched to the auto setting, the fans should be controlled through the software (as the fan controller is connected to a motherboard PWM header).

It depends on which variant one you have. The performance case has the fan hub controller and 3 position switch, whereas the RGB model doesn't - it has the RGB fans and a button to control the colours/modes.
I have the RGB model with 3 x 3 pin fan connectors that I've got plugged into and controlled by the mobo. I'm not sure if the Performance version has 4 pin PWM headers but I would guess yes.
