Hi,
I'm having issues arranging my new room to fit my lian li o11 dynamic xl (Attic room). One option is to lay it on its side. Has anyone tried this? I'm guessing thermals won't be great for the PSU and hard drive compartment. My other worry is the rad (currently mounted on top). Would mounting it on some pads help?

Thanks all.

I've got the o11 evo, so while not the xl the layout is fundamentally the same, and comically it's in an attic conversion too. I was originally looking at the xl but found I couldn't fit it due to the slanted roof above the desk and went down one size because of it.

Rad on the 'side' should be 'ok' imo although it might have more bubble noise due to pump/rad positions. Worst case scenario is replace the aio with an air cooler if the temps/noise etc are too high.

Airflow to psu can be solved by some thick rubber feet, although not sure on the best place to support the weight of a full system, the side panels are a little flimsy imo and a full pc can be pretty heavy these days.
