Lian-Li PC-7 PLUS

You do not need the top blowhole really, but its there if you want to lower the temperatures even more. Only ever known of it being needed once when someone was running a heavily overclocked 6800U SLI setup.

I didn't say I needed it, I just said it didn't come with a fan in that location, I won't be putting a fan there, as its only 80mm, and will probably whine or make another nasrty small fan noise :P :D
Have 7v'ed the stock front fan though! It made more noise than all the running PC's in this room!

I think I must be being dumb, but how do you 7 volt the 120mm fans that come with the case? They have a funny connector so you can't swap around pins

used 2 be a mod last time i checked, u change over certain wires, sure it the -5 , when modded lowers it from 12v to 7v then.
i think a few fan controlers do this now, not posotive on that thou.

on a side note, mines come tomm, had been out of stock there on OC cant w8 as have read nothing but posotive things about this case.

?? thou, the 2x 120 fans inside it, they any good or am i better ordering better ones before i assemble it ??

yeah I mean wires, pins whatever but on my old fans you could switch these round but the connectors on the fans that came with my pc7-plus are closed up so you cant do this. Would the only way be to buy a fan controller?

The fans are standard 3-pin connectors. I have them hooked up through a Molex to bunch of 3-pin sockets lead, some are 5v, some are 7, and some are..12v. Handy, I need more! Can't remember where I got it from either :)

i run both my 120mm fans at 5V by "simply" forcing in the molex upside down!

very quiet, runs well, and still plenty cool enough.
