I've got a pre-order for the titled case but have now found out that air cooling isn't ideal for the case design..

It 'IS' still possible to use liquid/AIO coolers but no the best air flow setup...

The question is, do I cancel the order before it is due/shipped.. Or do I keep the case and make a cooling system work with the case?

I'm looking to use a liquid cooler for the CPU if possible.. And have seen many video builds on youtube with people using liquid coolers..

Please could somebody with the same case or a bit of knowledge give me some options of what liquid coolers would work (top mounted or side mounted)..

And lastly.. If definitely not water cooling the whole system, would you just change cases entirely?

Any help and advice appreciated.

I found it totally fine with AIO in cpu, gpu on air. I put the AIO in the side behind the dividing panel so the fans were flush with the backplate (intake) then had fans on the bottom for 2nd intake and fans up top for exhaust.

This is what I've seen done on this case.. What CPU cooler option fits/did you go for?

The regular O11 dynamic will limit your options. Tried one, went for the XL. Even the XL, the Dark Rock Pro 4 fits ok. The Noctua NH-D15 wouldn't allow the outer fan.
Your most sensible choice would be a decent AIO, like Arctic Freezer II, better at top, as exhaust, bottom and side intake. The extra cooling for the VRM truly helps. For vertical mounting, the Phanteks is compatible and would allow bottom fans, but would be tight. Rather keep simple and mount straight to motherboard.

I used h150i and had the tubes at the top, probably for at least 2 years without issue and running a heavily over clocked 8700k. H150i won't fit on the side with tubes down BTW.

The "issue" regarding vertical mount of AIO isn't asblack and white as some people believed.
Mounting on the top would be less likely to cause pump noise or after some time the loss.of coolant cause more noise a d loss of performance. Not like that would kill your AIO in 2 minutes.
Also, despite the idea of a top rad using warmer air to cool the coolant would be terrible, won't be that bad if the airflow is decent inside the case. I would be more concerned about the warmer air being used by the GPU and the passively cooled components, than 1 or 2C coolant temperature increase being used by the CPU, unless the 1 or 2C is the breaking point of your boost/OC, but them, if I would be at that fine line, I would invest on some custom loop.

So I guess the question is.. Do I cancel with OC whilst the order is still a 'pre order' and hasn't been shipped?

I love the look of the case but if I can't fit a Liquid cooler properly like a Kraken X53/63 then it's pointless for me.

If you have the space for it, go with the XL version. Would allow taller CPU tower coolers and wider GPUs. The regular O11 would allow 360mm rad/AIO, but at the side position, would be a bit of work or even mod required to fit. The XL is taller and wider.

This is the problem. Not got the space for the XL version..

A 360mm rad/AIO should be fine if side mounted. don't mind having to adjust something if it works.

I have a 360 setup on the roof exhausting with two 140mm fans intake from the side. One at the top side for the rad and one at the bottom lower side for the GPU. Temps are fantastic.

10900K idles all cores 25 - 27c, gaming, 45 - 48c, all cores maxed out at 5GHz 75c. The 1080Ti FTW3 while gaming hits 53c for its air cooler. GPU 30c idle. Case hits about 35c when gaming.

Great temperatures.
That's the odd thing about the O11. I was tempted to get an O11 air, as the front intake would help, but I'm sure the case works great on air. All about balance. And the XL allows better flexibility when using the side to fit an AIO.

Still trying to decide what AIO liquid cooler to get.. I think I'll go for a 2 or 3 fan 360mm cooler and probably top mount..

I'm quite tempted to put case fans in as RGB.. Which makes buying a none RGB liquid cooler not fit right with me.. I was quite tempted by one of the razer kraken coolers but would need to spend a lot to then have to replace the fans it comes with for RGB spec ones.
