Already raised this with staff but looks like the suggestion of 'dispatch early next week' wasn't the case (pardon the pun)..

I ordered this case on the 25th december as a pre-order.. The item was due in stock on the 15th January..

Sure enough on the 15th I checked the website and could see '10+ in stock'.. These quickly then disappeared and now showing as not in stock again..

I asked OC staff if mine would obviously be picked and delivered as priority given my pre-order date and the '10 in stock' then showing..

I was told I should 'expect' case to be posted out hopefully early this week..

Why do I feel like i'm being strung along here?

did you have anything else on the order that was out of stock ?

if not i'd be furious

Nothing else on order. Just the case..

@MissChief .. Already done that but no real great response/update.. To me, why would they show 10+ in stock if all pre-orders.. doing that then means more people will order assuming 10+ is in stock and available for them to order and have delivered..

If that's the case then OC need to stop with these games and sort themselves out.. customers are slowly moving away as a result of recent let downs for various things.

Chances are it’s a quirk of their stock system, they get loaded by the warehouse ‘in’ team into the system which updates the website with how many came in, then the ‘out’ team pick up all the outstanding orders and then the stock gets taken from the amount showing on the website.

I'm almost certain you're right.. Which just goes to show why pre-ordering is not something companies should be doing.. YES it helps the company but just frustrates the customers.. I also should then not have been told by staff that my order should hopefully be despatched early this week.

But then if you’re not at your PC or can’t use your phone when items come into stock, especially high demand items like this particular case and cooler you may miss out, potentially for several restocks. At least a pre-order allows you to know you will get one eventually.

It's a very misleading and disingenuous system though. I ordered a case when it has 10+ stock, just to find out this wasn't actually tangible stock when the pickers come.

For what it's woth I had something simliary with the XL. Saw it come back in stock so thought it would post. Then later that day the expected arrival date changed. Ended up being shipped on the 20th.
