This is my new media server, i wanted to have a small footprint but still have the capacity to store loads of hard drives:

Specs:

Lian Li PC-Q08 in silver
AsRock A330ION ITX Motherboard
2 port sata pci express card
450w corsair modular PSU
140mm Fractal Design Fan
2gb ddr3
1 x 250gb 2.5 hardrive (has Os, music and Pictures on)
2 x 2TB 3. 5 hardrives (Films)
2 x 1TB 3. 5 hardrives (Tv Shows)

The run the board without the attached cpu fan as the my PSU has a nice 120mm fan which blows directley onto the board and keeps i nice and cool and the 1400mm fan at the front of the case brings in lots of air also. There is still space for 2 more hard drives but i would need to get a four port sata card as the board only has 4 ports. For some reason if it put a 120mm fan in the top of the case it made the case rattle but i need to screw the top vent into something so i just took the actual fan out and left the rest of the fan casing.

It sits on top of my bookshelf in my "man Cave"

Ive got my 2 2TB drives striped and also my 2 1TB drives, i know im screwed if they fail but wanted to maximise storage over redundency. Waiting for 4TB drives then i will at least mirror my drives

Please tell me you at least have a backup of all that data on external drives? Thats way to much to risk loosing!

After using my Q08 as a water cooled HTPC

I decided to combine my htpc and my media server into one box using the Q08.

Some pics after i took out all the watercooling fittings etc...

I have so far put in most of the kit with assistance from my cat!!! but am going to orintate the hard drives the other way round so you can see the cables as it will make it look cleaner.

Awesome rig & cat bro!

I've been so tempted to buy this case for a mini lan gaming rig which I plan to build but can't decide on this or the SG08 or the as yet unreleased Bitfenix Prodigy.

I like the portability of the SG08 (but not the price).

I like the features of the Lian Li (but not the size).

I like the Prodigy (but it's unreleased and we don't know dimensions yet!).

I keep coming back to this Lian Li though. Have you any idea whether or not a Corsair H80 would fit in the top 120mm fan spacing?

I currently have a Silverstone SG03 and want this mini-ITX build I'm doing to be much smaller if possible - don't suppose you could do us a huge favour and do some comparison pictures to get an idea of size of this case?

Love the build dude.

yes it should definatley fit, i had a h50 installed when i first got it then another 120mm rad when it was watercooled. The only issue is that the psu may get in the way, so i bought the small form factor psu from silverstone which is much smalled but still 450w so plenty of power.

There is a lian li case similar to the q08 which actually has a handle (Lian-Li TU200 Suitcase )
)

Ah brilliant!

I already own the said Silverstone PSU as I bought it with my Sugo SG03!

Looks like this case is indeed 'the one'.

Any more pics would be greatly appreciated!

Do I get a free cat if I order one off of OcUK?!

Nice :) The Q08 was my first choice but couldnt find any black ones in stock anywhere at the time i was building so went for the Q011 instead (see last page of SFF gallery thread for pics).
