Lian Li PC-V1000 +watercooling?

hi yewen hmm i dont want to mod the case realy. i was thinking of a basic setup like a Alphacool Cool Answer II 120 Watercooling Kit

maybe i should go for the Lian Li PC-V1200 that seems to have abit more space dont u think?

or a Lian-Li PC V2000 as ocuk dont sell the Lian Li PC-V1200 :/
they have droped the price of the Lian-Li PC V2000 which is cool

hmm i just found out i cant use me 2x Ultra XConnect PSU in the Lian Li PC-V1000 so i will have to go for the 1200 or 2000 moddel

as u can see on the pic the cables top it from fiting in

unless u mod the case for it ;)

Thats a v1000 not a v1000+.

You can make that PSU fit easily as the partition is removeable as is the hard drive cage.

It will fit, 100% sure.

EDIT: Actually that could be a v1000+ as it looks like someone has removed the hard drive cage 2, but been really silly and not moved the partition back a space :p Again I am 100% positive that the psu will fit in a v1000+/v1200+/v2000+ etc.

With the water cooling any case you fit it into will need modding to fix the rad, if you want a no modding solution you need to look at the reserator 1+ however its performance is more geared towards silence than performance.

Yup, the v1000 was crippled by its lack of modular PSU support, so Lian Li listened to its customers like it usually does and released the + revision.

Acres more space due to being able to shuffle around the bottom compartment to acomodate the modular PSU's.

Yeh but you still have 4 hard drive bays in the superior cooling cage, and if you were using 8 drives you would be using a non modular PSU anyways, as it would be using all its modular plugs making it pointless!

With Lian Li they do not give you anything you could not use, all there cases really are the essentials for the features to make the design work, this means all the money has been spent making the design the best it could be, and making the quality second to none.

I have never been left wanting more features once I have one, they just seem a little lacking on the spec page, but when in use they are such a well thought out manufacturer in general at the moment that nothing can touch a Lian Li for base line functionality and quality.

Wow its been a while since I have said anything like that about Lian Li :p

EDIT: the pic is exactly right, but they did not put the partition back in so case temps will be about 3/4 higher than they should be on that case :p Muppets ;)

On Yemens recommendation I got the Lian Li and I am really happy with it. Funnily enough I have exactly the same PSU which I fitted in without any problems. Just removed one plate and the hard drive bay and hey presto.

It looks as though the V1000+ is at the end of the line :(

Before anyone says, that picture looks more crampt than it actually would be.

It is not a modular PSU, why it can be done that way, although personally I would have mounted the hard drives in caddy's in the 5" bays.
