Lian Li PC60 case fans

I'd say they are mid range, not ultra quiet. Depends what you're used to. I replaced mine with some silenx ones when i got it, made a hell of a difference!

They are ADDA fans, and quite noisey by my ear and I would replace them before even plugging them in.

THe SilenX fans push more air for the noise they make, much more efficent.

But the question has to be asked, why the PC60 over the PC7+II?

i had a pc60 years ago and really liked it at the time so went with another one.

besides fan configuration, there doesnt seem very much difference between the pc60 and pc7.

Yup, motherboard tray is the big one.

But the draw of 120mm front and 120mm back gives quieter and cooler performance, add to that its cheaper and how most modern CPU coolers wont work with a motherboard tray and the PC7+II does become more attractive.

why do most modern cpu coolers not work with a motherboard tray? dont see how that can be true as ive had cases with mobo trays for years and they havent had any kind of problem mounting large thermalright heatsinks.

(OCUK site says the PC7 comes with 1 12cm and 1 8cm)

Search the forums and most people (read all) get 120/120 it seems, which is the +II version but it can share the same box s the +I 80mm version.

Motherboard tray can sometimes not give enough clearance to remove the larger heatsinks.
