Blasphamy!

Actually to be honest, it is getting on a fair bit now, and they are producing new redesigned versions...here shows all of the 'Classical Series' of their cases, and here (page 2) shows the new additions to the range. Personally I'm not so keen on the new range, although I do like that they are removing floppy drives, as they are obsolete now, allowing for more space for other things. :)

here i'm not slagging...i have one too :D
i just know it's getting on a bit and with them making new versions of it they are bound to slowly phase it out don't you think?

:p :D

Well it has been slowly phased out, but everyone still recommends it, so it doesn't seem that way.

The intro of the G50 and then the A05, whilst not being PC7 size, were the next line (iirc) that LianLi pushed out, and that was around the middle of last year to early this year, this showed that they had dropped the PC60, and were focusing more on producing the current main cases and new ones. Now that they have a few more cases in the same size as the PC7 that can be aquired around the place they are stopping it and going onto the next new lot. :)

It is a shame, as the PC7 is a great case, the fact that it has the FDD bays is helpful as it means you can easily have 5 HDDs, whereas with the new cases, you can only have the 3. I don't like the floppy bays in the respect that they don't get used for their intended purpose, but it would be nice to be supplied with a new HDD mounting system that allows for more HDDs without an aftermarket 5.25"-3.5" converter. - This is especially important for me, as I have all 4 of my 5.25" bays full, and so have to use the floppy rack for HDDs.

Yeah, that's what's quite strange, in theory there should be a few cases in the same size/price range as the PC7, but there aren't, nodoby stocks them.

Must be careful what I say due to the forum rules but I purchased a black PC7 earlier this week from a competitor due to lack of stock here, (and I couldn't justify the cost of A16B which was the other case I was looking at) ... its pity as i am not that keen on using the competitor as I have had issues with them in the past and I was already getting things from here to put in it.

Had another look now and they do still have some in stock ... but if you do a search with their product finder it does not return the case at all. If you want one you have to do research with standard search engines / price comparison sites and then link directly in using the results.

Obviously though if you want a black Lian Li case you should get one of those which are in stock here (hey, dependent on your hourly rate the time taken to find it the additional cost may be offset by how much your time is worth) :D
