Lian Li PC7, mods

Hey Yewen,

don't mean to hijack your thread iBot mate, just i'm very interested in this subject to, and i know Yewen is the Lian-Li god of the forums.

Basically, what it is, i'm really interested in silencing it, its a fantastic case at being quiet as it is compared to my old Chieftec Dragon, but it doesnt help that i have a noisy HDD. So are there any cheap easy mods to silence the hdd (its currently stuck in the floppy cage, which was a mistake as its even louder than the hdd rack)

Any other silencing mods will be appreciated mate :)

It works a treat.

Get some eleastic or bungee cord.

Lopp it throught and make it tight ish but not it's full tigthness.

Tie off at at end on the side of the caddy rack

Test ya HD in there and wind up for more tightness

I did 3 section so it was in there nice and tight

I also suspened a 120mm fan infront of them which has lkowered temps by tons
 
I just recently got a silentmaxx on a wd 250gig which is fairly loud, and its quietened it more than half its original noise, my pc is on my desk about half a meter away from me, a great job im definetly getting another when i get my other wd 250gig.
 
Well just been having a chat with Yewen, and he taught me some ghetto mods for silencing my hdd. I had no bungee cord, so it was blue tak to the rescue. A few blobs here and there, and ta daaa, a much quieter hard drive

Maybe you could chuck it in the bin, and buy an Antec Solo? Great mod and very easy to do!

PC7+'s love bulgin switches, also try stealthing your drives and cutting a custom window.
