Hi,just had my Lian-Li PC7 Plus delivered this morning to replace my Akasa Eclipse(To match my Vapochill LS).I have opened the case up and checked the standoffs and they appear to be very short in length? just want to check that these will be ok?
Up to now i have cut & drilled the case to mount the Vapochill, drilled the case rivets out that hold the top on & threaded the hole's so i can easily remove the top when i want to.Next is to remove the window panel retaining rivets & replace these with black plastic coated rivets.
But i must the admit the quality of this case is amazing considering the fairly cheap price :)
Now to remove the 2 x Adda 120mm fans(this is the first thing i checked to see if it had 120mm fans :D ) & replace them with 120mm x 38mm Panaflo's.

nice, quick question what spec in the main rig is going in the case

ive been mulling over a case for ages and wondered if this might be good for my new conroe system which I am going to overclock only a little at stock....

build looks good

The spec is everything out of the Eclipse.

DFI Lanparty Expert
AMD FX-55
7950GX2

The only reason i bought the Lian-Li is to match my Vapochill LS,if i didn't have the Vapochill i would still use the Eclipse as the cooling is excellent. But saying that the Lian-Li is an excellent built case & looks to have good cooling i should have everything shifted over to it by tomorrow all been well :)

They should be shorter than say in an Eclipse. :)

Its a good cooler, and would run that rig Amadeus no trouble, the case can take a SLI rig now so I would imagine a cooler processor would not have any trouble in one. :)

Ideal pairing actually.

One more question,i have stripped the case down & removed the fans & i thought you got a washable fan filter for the front? (Says this on box) but all i seen to have is some black mesh fitted the same as the mesh fitted to rear of the case? Or is this what they class as a washable fan filter? as opossed to the Eclipse's foam filter?

Thanks for answering the question regarding the standoff's Yewen was i bit worried when i saw the length of them. :p

Thanks.

Thats it,no filter as such.

Thats just a fan guard, they do catch some dust but not a filter as such, unless Lian Li are calling them this now.

Contact OcUK about it. :)

The LED's are the basic ones I got a couple of boxes of from school a year ago. :o

1.5mm I think they are, seems to ring a bell but don't quote me on it.

I will find out for you, give me a minute or two and I will post back. :)

I've been told i need to contact Lian-Li as this is a common problem with the front filter missing.
Do anybody know who the UK importer is or do i go direct to Lian-Li themselves?

Thanks.

When my Arctic Cooler when bang, "common problem", I emailed arctic cooling but got no reply, best thing it do is try emailing lian-li, if you don't get a reply, find who the dsitributor in the uk for them is, call them and get them to give you the phone number of Lian Li, if they don't just pull out the old trading standards/consumer rights act, the item you recieved was not as described..., anyway then take it form ther,e don't know why these companies don't give out there number, only one I found that does is Sivlerston, you can contact them be email, phone/MSN and you always get a reply...

You can email or write to Lian Li, Thermaltake, Antec....

First 12 months are with the supplier, after that you deal with the manufacturer with all queries as the supplier is generally not responsible for the warranty.

Just drop Lian Li an email about it. Bosse are the UK supplier as I have already said.
