Lian li PC7 window fit an A16 ?

I've been looking around and while it does SEEM that it is ide4ntical in this regard, I haven't found anything conclusive.

EDIT: Lian-Li's site says that the W-65 is "compatible with middle tower of PC-6X and PC-7 series," so that's no help either.

I'd mark out where I wanted to cut with pencil the start by drilling a small hole inside the area you want to remove. I'd use a jigsaw to remove most of the material and if I had a Dremel handy I'd use that to finish off the edge. I'd use a fine file to deburr the edge then I'd sketch out what I wanted to cut on the perspex. I'd use the jigsaw again for this and I'd finish the edge with some medium fine sandpaper, perhaps 200 grit. I'd want to attach it so that no bolts or rivets were showing, unlike the PC-7's side window, so I'd probably attempt to attach it to the back side with an adhesive. :)

It'd take ages to cut the whole edge with a dremel.

I think that this would be a cool look for a window for it:

doesnt look half bad but i have sourced the side fan from the V series to blow cooler air over the gpu so i would want mesh over the lower section really , i was thinking could i not just cut 1cm off of the top or bottom of the pc7 side which would make it fit

You could cut it like that but you'd have to do some fabrication to make it work. On the top edge there are hooks that attach the panel to the case. On the bottom there is a channel that fits over the lower edge of the case. Cutting either end would mean that you would have to replicate this functionality in some other way. In addition to that the screw holes would probably no longer line up so you'd have to re-drill those. It's certainly possible but it'd be some extra work.

hmm looking more and more like the mirage then as you can buy those side pannels for like £10 ea and are easily moddable and it has slightly more space if i went socket 1207, although it doesnt look as good lian li seriously need to get on and biuld sides for more of there cases as the pc7 just look plain imo.

Hi Massive,

I totally agree mate. The 101 you sold me is great but i would love a windowed panel.

Thought the v1100 panels would fit as the case looks identical inside however the dimensions are different from what the lian li site says.

Very disappointing as they'd make a pretty penny if they produced panels for certain cases. ;)

Trying to decide whether to cut mine or not! :(

does seem quite dissapointing that they arent making them the A16 just looks amazing but they made it 10mm smaller than the PC7  , if they had kept it the same size we could have used the side pannel from the PC7, going to be a mirage for me has more space and will have better cooling buy the time ive finnished with it.
