Lian Li PC71 and Thermaltake Big Typhoon

Hi

I know I have done this the wrong way around - have bought a second hand pc71 case and am now wondering if my big TT will be able to fit inside the case; at present I am using a Thermaltake Soprano case which has got just over an inch clearence to side panel. Realise that the pc71 is pretty much the same width but from pictures of the case it looks as if the montherboard tray sticks up quite a bit.

If anyone has any experience of these two items combined would really appreciate your input and also any general advice regarding the case from owners.

That will be a very very uncommon pairing there, I would hazard a guess that it will be tight after seeing a big typhoon, but they do fit in the PC7+ with a bit of room to spare so you may be ok.

I have a PC-75 but no TT.
It measures ~155mm from the top of the 939 plastic retention frame on the mobo to the side panel if thats of any use to you.

Does your motherboard tray lie flat or is it raised slightly DaveMac?

No worries, it's raised as per the supplied spring fit mobo stand-offs.
