Just spotted this over at [H]. Seems Lian-Li have made some small changes to the V350 and made it the V351.

Looks pretty smart, not sure if it's going to be worth upgrading to from a V350 though.

What have they really changed? a few holes cut in the Hdd area and some quick release fans in the front? oh and not to forget a few holes drilled in the front. I guess its all improvments but def not worth changing a old V350 for.

thats it it seems brad. like they have done with all the other new revisions on the site. added hdd vibration differences and said its new.

they should have changed the psu to the other side really so ppl can use a taller HSF

ive seen a modded back plate where the psu hangs on the other side and it looks cool.

I just want them to come out with a different SFF of some sort. Even a V350 with the optical ports facing forward, but behind a door that looks like the current front panel. Actually that would be amazing! (Don't like doors normally, but I think that would be great!)

dont like the front venting holes. have spoiled the minimalist feel for me. thinking of using these (v350) to fit out a friends gaming cafe if he ever gets his buisnes plan together and passed :P

They changed the way the front fans come out, the side the USB/firewire/audio ports are on and cut half the HDD rack off. So its basically exactly the same. If they had sorted the cooling out for the HDDs then I might have been interested.

Changes seem to be:

  • Ventilation holes in the front
  • Different mechanism for removing the fans (both came out in 1 go before, just 1 thumbscrew to remove previously)
  • Different holes underneath the HDD's, (was lots of smaller holes previously)
  • USB/Firewire/Audio is now on the other side
  • USB/Firewire/Audio hole for side panel is slightly different (both audio ports combined into 1 hole)
  • Slightly different HDD mounting screws, rubber grommets and mounting are identical
  • Also available in red :D

Don't think that's worth any kind of upgrade from the previous version tbh, don't like having the vent at the front though, as stated above, ruins the look.

Looks taller than the old V350. Would allow for a better cooler and larger graphics card.

Exactly the same dimensions as the v350, mini ninja it is then :(

Im after the Red one.

I currently have a SG03 Black, had it over a year but im getting a Little bored, So I want to Try something different.

Is the Mini Ninja still the best bet for this case?
I can see problems with my ram as its Reaper with the Big HSF on it.

Does anyone have any experience with this Case or its Ancestors?

Your Thoughts

i had the v350, great little case . Loads of space to i even saw some watercooled. Looked dam sexy

Thanks for the response, I was thinking of Using my old components out of the Silverstone to some degree.

DS2R Mobo.
Currently Have a Tagan 600 PSU it has a 14 cm fan which means the PSU is oversized, I can see the 5.25 Panel giving me problems with the modulars?
(Might get myself a Corsair with the thin modular cables)

Q6600 still a pretty good CPU cost's a lot of money to replace this with a serious upgrade.

Nexus 7000 Cpu cooler? I think this could work well if the fan is reversed and sucks air off the Heatsink & blows upwards towards the PSU fan.?

Would an 8800GT with Twin Turbo have any problems fitting?

The last issue I have considered is Lian Li dont appear to do Red Bezels for DVD Drives do they? Jesus imagine a Beige one in a red case:eek:
