Anybody out there with practical experience of this monster case?

Big Case

I am transferring my wifes kit into a new case so the components are largely decided and her priorities are:-

Nice Big Case black that looks good
Quietness.

Kit going in is:

Asus P5B DH
E6600
2 Gigs of Ram
2 * 150gb Raptor
500GB Storage disc
8800 GTX
Seasonic 700 W PSU
2 * DVD Drives
Xfi

So questions...

1. Guess no length problems fitting a 8800 GTX in such a big case nor the Tuniq Tower I will be fitting?
2. Is this a nice quiete case for the above kit, it seems designed for quietness but my only concern is that restricted airflow may cause me need to run the fans hard defeating the purpose?

Cheers

Ralph

I am pretty sure the 8800GTX doesn't fit in it? Although I am sure someone will be along in a minute to prove me wrong :)

Send me the dimensions of a card and I will find out for you if you like. :)

It is easily one of my favourite cases ever, would have trouble recommending it to anyone though as other cases do what it does better.

I only use one of the fans for example, just this second got an email come through so I will check that out. :)

Now the question is can I avoid size matters jokes here.....

Anyway the card measures 10.5 inches long and yes I admit puts me to shame. The pci connectors are not at the back so it just needs to fit without significantg rear clearance (another punning excuse I will resist...)

So yerwen will you do me a christmas favour and see if it fits, as I have only 3 HD's to put in I can probably leave a drive bay empty if necessary. If it doesn't fit what would you recommend V1000+? Aesthetics are important to my wife and she lurrves the looks of this case and is knowledgable enough to recognise build quality which is why she turned down an Antec 180. (nice case but not nice enough..)

I will take a look in the morning for you, however due to the hard drive cage being the way it is I am not certain it will fit. :(

From what I have just seen without having the card I can not comfortably say it would fit. :(

v1000+II is the better case out of the two though, built to the same high standards.

If you would like the dimensions of the v1000+ I have a picture I could upload with them all. :)
