Lian-Li TL LCD Problems

I've just built a new rig, with Lian-Li TL LCD Fans. See pic here: https://files.slack.com/files-pri/T11G290H4-F08P6Q2HX7T/img_1327.jpg

The problem (as you can see in the pic) is that although the fans are lit, spinning, and the screens are on, they are on the default logo that you get at startup.

This is because although they do appear in L-Connect, they do not hgave the LCD Screen option, so I cannot configure them.

Has anyone else had problems with these fans? I have about a week left to RMA them but I don't think its a hardware fault, it must be software.

They are "wireless" but to make the LCD work they need to be wired into a USB hub, I have a corsair one of those.

I have tried reinstalling windows and just L-Connect with nothing else. No effect. I have checked firmware is latest.

Any help appreciated

Pictures don't work, from the knightmare I had with these fans for a customers build you can only have 3 together anymore and they won't work and they had to use the supplied usb adapter for them to be detected in L-Connect.

what do you mean by “supplied usb adaptor”?

I’ve got 3 connected together, then 2 individual separate ones. The web site says I can have 3 LCD linked and up to 9 fans total off the one controller, but I’m not believing it right now - although there’s a guy on YouTube who has set this up almost identical to me and his works fine so maybe I’ve got a dud controller

If it's the wireless ones you've bought as you mention in the OP then there should be a 'big usb stick' in the box that you need to plug into a spare usb port, if they are detected with that then at least you know the fans are ok, they also need to be plugged into a pwm controller.
