I could not resist..The Lian Li V1000 is a lovely looking case and reportedly very well made. My new PC will be put together over the next few weeks, so I decided my kit needed a new home. I currently have a Wavemaster in Silver but the rest of my rig is black in colour... so I justify the purchase on the grounds of aesthetics and colour coding!!!!

Was it the right choice to house my 8800GTX?. The spec seem to suggest there is plenty of room, but until you have your equipment housed inside, its often negligible to go on size specification.

Is the case good for disguising cables, I may invest in a windowed panel so would like to conceal cables from the PSU as much as possible..

The cables in the top mobo compartment can be a pain as there's nothing to fasten cable ties to. If you get some cable tie bases to fasten to the case roof this wont be a problem though.

One real arse I found with mine is that the front panel cables dont reach the headers on the motherboard.

....and yes there's a lot of room in there.

anywhere to stick a rad into one of these?

be imaginative hehe, well a 120.1 shouldnt be a problem but a 120.2 is gonna have to be external me thinks, well atleast poking out a panel somewhere a lil bit atleast hehe

A mate of mine has a v2000 and he had the nifty idea of putting it behind the 5 1/4 bays, but on the far side, cut holes in the side panel and its like, half in half out, some clever meshing n stuff looked quite good - he got rid now but ill see if he still got any piccies, kinda hard to just exlpain :(

I've mounted my 120.2 rad outside at the back as I did not want to cut my lovely case too much nor did I want to move my HDDs which are cooled by the intake fan. But the 120.2 rad can be mounted internally but you will need to sacrifice a lot of space, at least 2 x 5 1/4 bays if mounted at the top or the whole lower compartment where the HDDs are normally situated.

not all 120.2 rads will fit in the lower compartment, best to go for some slimline ones, and not all PSUs will fit with the rad mounted there. Probably it's best to go for some modular PSU as hiding the unused cables will be difficult.

hmm, dont do slim rads :p only the best PA rads.
Guess theres gonna be some cutting involved. I'll have to get some detailed pics of the case see what the plan could be

I have just put my PC together, the one in the sig. I'm just waiting for the release of the G80 for completion.

I love the look of my Lian Li V1000+ (black) looks really nice with the rest of my rig, all colour coded now!!! Im well happy :D

The case was a joy to work with, pleanty of room and easy to cofigure for nice airflow.

Here is a pic of how i've mounted a Black Ice GT Stealth II radiator at the back of the V1000
