Hey guys,

Just wondering who has the above case, and what are they're setups in it, and how are they're fans situated?

Lian-li demonstrate the rear fan blowing in, then that funny exhaust thing (that is pants anyway) to suck air out of the case...

Currently i have my cpu and rear fan blowing out of the case, and i've had to put a fan underneath my cd-rom drive etc to get some air in...This is mainly cause my chipset is passively cooled...My motherboard is an Asus a8n-sli premium, it is premium isnt it? hah

But yeah, i moved the intake fan lower down last night, so the air coming into the case is more inline with the cpu rather than up at the top of the case...Thing is now my chipset is recording a temperature of around 36-40 ish...i know that isnt high, but i was thinking if i was to have my cpu fan and rear fan to blow air into the case, then have 'something' extracting the air somwhere, would that be more beneficial?

Oh yeah, i cant use the side exhaust braket fan thingy cause my gpu cooler blocks where the fan goes :)

Sorry for the long post.

Regards,

Craig.

I've been experimenting with my V1000. I find that I get the best temps all around when the fans are as they came from the factory (shock!). All my fans blow in except for my PSU. The rear fan near the processors keeps the processors, chipset, and VRMs at a decent temperature by blowing across them and id further directed toward the VRMs with the duct. YMMV. Experiment for yourself.

Thanks for the information :)

Yeah i might have a play around tonight. It's just such an issue to change the cpu cooler around (tuniq tower) due to the nuts that hold the thing in place...and that lovely psu chamber that sits right next to the cooler ;)

Well i've finally managed to switch my cpu cooler orientation around...i 'think' temperatures are a tad better...

Smart guardian reports the following:

Cpu: 28c
PWMIC: 36c
Chipset: 29c

These are probably the best i'll get them too...Any other things people can suggest?

I believe its the tuniq tower also...as it has no airflow capable of being pushed over the mosfet jobbys.

------------

Take that back about things being better...pwmic is 40 now =P

Agreed.

I've just bought a thermalright SI-128 to replace my titan amanda as the titan doesn't help to cool the board in any way!

I have the front fan intaking and have also added a scythe kama bay on intake to help. I have my psu and a single 120mm fan on outtake duties.

Seems to cool well.
