Quick question.

The exhaust fan on the v1000 is often set as another intake and I'm not sure why. In my case surely this is the best setup ?

FRONT INTAKE FAN --> NHU12FAN --> NHU12 --> REAR EXHAUST FAN --> OUTSIDE

Or am I missing something ? Why would the rear fan also blow air inwards ?

Also has anyone fitted the NHU12 in a v1000 with a DS4 ? Looks massive and wont be fitting it til the weekend so just wanted to check.

think I found the answer. The exhaust is set to blow in on the V1100 plus, because it has a CPU duct and a Graphics card blower.
So I will leave it as an exhaust and see how my temps are.

I've just btained this case and been palying around with the fans...i had issues with my NB getting too hot as its fanless...So i had to mount a 90mm above the cdrom to help cool it :/....only problem now is that i have a fair bit of noise...especially with the front fan where the hard drives are.

yeah I find the case noisy also. Just bought a couple of new quiet fans to hopefully make it better, but I think the CPU cooler and the 8800GTS dont help :p

The fan orientation is very unique in the V series, you have to take the case as being two seperate cases, each section having its own unique cooling system.

When you look at the case from this point of view the cooling makes more sense, it isolates the heat output into the case and providing you do not force heat through the compartments the case offers superb cooling.

You say that, but when i installed my system into this case without a front fan blowing over the NB i was getting blue screens ;) Wheras in my Dragon case i wasent.

But yes i see what you mean yewen. I just need to somehow mount a fan into the fron somehow...well ive currently got it sussended on some velcro like cable tie things....but that makes the top of the chassis vibrate untill i put some weight on it... :/

Any ideas on that...
