Afternoon all!

Hoping to get the attention of other v1000+ owners - I bought one on my lastest PC build, it's a lovely case and I really like how it looks + was nice and easy to work with.

i've been having some troubles with heat though really, my 8800gts idles around 60 degrees and gets up to 80 on occasion under load sometimes giving me a bit of artifacting.. I'm using the GFX exaust that sucks the heat away but that seems really inefficient. Last week I was thinking of how to improve it and thought that maybe if it blew cold air onto it surely that would be better? So i ordered 3 sets of Yate loon 120mm fans. On removing the old fan and trying to install the yate loon the other way round (So it blows onto it) I noticed that the old fan had special screw holes and I couldnt fit it at all onto the metal bracket! I left it off for the afternoon and the card was hitting 90 degrees! That's crazy hot.. what can I do?

The CPU seems fine idling around 28c or so and getting up to the high 30's - low 40's on occasion.

The other reason for buying the yate loons was to undervolt them to 7v and make all the fans run quieter.. but on realisation about my gts I now think thats quite a bad idea! So maybe a fan controller? Can anyone suggest a good one that'll match my silver v1000+? I really want to remove the fan noise for watching movies etc and finally track down whats vibrating!

You can just turn the bracket around or use cable ties to fit the Yate Loon to the bracket.

80C is normal for an 8800.

same case and i'm gettign the same idle temp:

60@idle
80@ load

My CPU is ideling at 26c too from bios

atm im looking for a uk store that seels the lian-li hdd system but looks like i'll have to import one from the states.
