Hello, just curious if the blower fan on the V1100 plus (it's situated over the PCI slots at the top of the case) interferes with the Accelero coolers by Arctic Cooling? I have one fitted to my Geforce 6800GS currently, and don't want to have to remove it.

The Accelero does protrude a bit you see, that's why I want to know if there's enough of a gap to not cause any problems. Anyone know? Thanks :)

Thanks for the response. The cooler protrudes by about 4 centimetres from the card (nearly 1.5 inches). This is at the cooler's 'highest' point, the link below should give you an idea of what I mean (Accelero vs stock pictures):

Personally I think it will be a problem, but can't be sure. On a different note, any idea which version of the v1100 OcUK stocks? The latest version of the case (PlusII) has a regular fan over the PCI slots, as opposed to the blower fan on the Plus.

Thanks for taking the time to check, it's appreciated. :)

You will have to phone or email the shop to get that information sorry, I can't be sure on current stock and not enough people buy the cases to have a definitive answer for you.

As to the fitting in I will take a look now. :) Watch this space!

No it will not fit, from those pictures, same problem will occur on any revision.

I run my 7800gt OC on a VF900cu without the blower perfectly fine, 52deg full load on a hot day on silent setting.

It should cope just fine without the blower, it is only really needed for SLI.

(The 6800GS will be just fine without the blower. :))

Ah ok, thanks. So I take it you've reversed the fan on the rear of the case so it blows outwards? Wasn't sure if the dust mesh on the back would restrict the outgoing airflow doing that. Anyway, thanks for your time :)

My setup is both fans are used as a intake, my GFX temperature goes to 60 load having the fan as a exhaust.

If you add me to msn I can give you a load of figures on what configuration gave what result on my v1000+ if you like, I wont post them as if you don't want them then it is a waste, especially as I am trying to fish a crisp out of my keyboard. :(

It's ok thanks, more or less found out what I needed to know :) I should have gone for a Zalman heatsink originally huh... hehe. Cheers for your time.
