Lian-Li v1000 / V1200 PlusII

I am about to take the plunge on a new system and fancy another Lian-Li and looking at the v1200 plusII, it seems to fit the bill.

I prefer it over the V1000 simply because it goes back deeper and thus leaves more space in the PSU bay for cales etc., and the space inside the main area is bigger.

Having searched all the threads on here for it, views appear to be mixed, with some people slating it one minute and a month later the same person saying it's the nuts.

Certainly one of the things that sticks out is people claiming that it cools worse than the v1000, I doubt the difference can be dramatic, but I have an open mind.

Does anyone have any experience with this case to comment? And if so can you also comment on whether a Scythe Ninja, Artic Freezer Pro etc will fit as it is clear that larger HS will get very close to the wall dividing the MOBO area and the PSU/Drives.

I guess no one has a V1200 to comment!

Can anyone that has the V1000 comment on whether the perforated case design contributes more to a build up of dust and excessive noise, over and above a normal case?

Thanks for that info. Can you comment on the V1200 over the V1000? I originally fancied the 1200 over the 1000 as the 1000 had probs with the size of the PSU bay, but I believe that's resolved with the plus versions of the 1000 isn't it?

The 1200 is about 10cm deeper back to front - is that better or worse for cooling?

I certainly saw one of Yewen's comments saying it was not much good, and then another on another thread from him saying get a 1200, so I will await his comments.

At the end of the day, if the PSU space has been sorted on the V1000+, there is no need for the V1200 for me. I could see some use for the space if you were going to water cool.

But the 1200's PSU bay is 10cm longer from what I can tell...now I am confuse.

Probably better to just get a 2000 and have too much space.

Would you be able to say which is better, the blower on the + versions or the fan with a grill in the side of the case like the +II?

I think you are quite correct.

One of my biggest concerns with the V1000, 1200 and 2000 is - 1. Are the leads from the front inputs (USB,1394 etc.) long enough to reach the headers on various mOBO's? 2. Is the MOBO being mounted upside down a problem for the newer chipset coolers, such as on the DS4?
