lian li v2000 and v2000 plus

The plus versions have the removeable drive rails & dividers in the bottom section and come with either the cross flow extractor fan (plain plus) or side ways axial extractor fan (plus2)
 
Are the drive rails etc. and all the other gubbins in the bottom easity removed with screws in the V2000? Or will I have to cut them out?
 
In the plain v2000 the rails & dividers are rivited in, you could drill them out I suppose but it'll be a complete PITA.

I'll be hacking it up considerably anyway but I thought getting the bottom ready to take the prommie would be the easy bit.

The v2000+ has screwed in bottom hard drive rails as said.

There are other small changes, like the speaker but nothing really worth noting.
 
ended up with the v2000 standard (I think, not picked it up yet)

Just the gfx watercooling to get now and I can start chopping!

Sure is. Sure will. :) Don't worry, i'll be posting loads of pictures of it when its done. Having Phase built into it is only the first step of for this rig. I'll be cutting custom windows, hopefully frosting a design onto them. Im also thinking about having the inside either powder coated or anodized.
 
I would love to have had the money to get a new head and regass on mine but I am a bit strapped atm.

What mods are you having done to your unit?
 
I ordered a Lian V2000 and still waiting for it as they werent in stock though it says that it should only take 1-3days to receiv new stock. Anyone else waiting for their case?

Im having a system built from scratch. Nice quiet compressor, clear enclosure with LEDs drilled in, unseen controller, 404-402 gas blend, EL-wire running up the suction line etc etc. :D
 
I got my 2000 earlier this week, and got a pleasant surprise with it as well. When i ordered on the website is said that it was just the plain v2000, on the invoice it was changed to v2000+ and the case that i received was a v2000+II.
And I have to say that the case is beautiful, now i just have to wait another week or so before the rest of the gear arrives so i have something to put into the case :)
