I was just wondering since I'm going to build a HTPC within a few months what is the difference in size with the above two cases.

Does anyone have a picture of them side by side? Is the Lian Li much bigger?

yea its a v300 but its same size as the v350. i think :)

the v350 as better cooling but i like both cases :)


if you want to know the real life size i would make a cardboard box from
each of the cases sizes. yea it may sound abit geeky but its what i did befor
i went for my sg01-e :)

as i just wanted to see how much space it used on my desk

Well if the V350 is the same size as the V300 i think i'll go for the Lian Li v350. I thought it was going to be much bigger as it has 2 120mm fans at the front, i think. Thanks for the pic.
 
As a side note are there any cheap PSUs that would fit in the v350 (powering an old amd64 939 set up), I'm not sure if cheap and modular would go together would they?
 
both the v300/v350 and the sg01 support standard ATX PSU's

using a modular based psu would help a lot, removing any unwanted cabling
to help with air flow.

as for the psu what sort of price are you looking to spend?

also dont forget both the v350 and the sg01 have there limitations when it comes to some
gfx card sizes

Well my system is just going to need to process HD either from the hard drive or streaming it somehow off my main pc i just need a 939 matx mobo case PSU and a graphics card.

Should be the following spec:

3700+
1Gb ram
matx mobo: again cheap :p but needs to have an optical sound output I'm gona keep looking on the MM :D.
graphics card:

PSU:
again needs to be cheap but i don't want a generic one can someone recommend a cheap modular psu. The other option put my tagan SLi 500W in there and buy a £100 ish modular PSU for my main rig?

Just found my old trusty X850XT. Since it is fairly old would it be worth selling and getting a newer card. I don't think a x850XT can decode HD or am i wrong?

the v300 and v350 are not the same size, the v350 is slightly bigger.

Very useful site this one, use the different views to get a good idea of the size comparisson.

The SG-01 IS very nice, and is very well respected amung SFF owners, but the v350 (imo) just oozes pure class! Love mine to pieces.
 
lol well i didnt know that from all the images ive seen of the v350 and v300 they look
the same size. i should have checked that befor i said any think :)

is it possible to fit a 8800gtx in the v300? or v350? i wouldnt mind doing some modifications to the case since the gtx is about 9.5cm in length. but my EK waterblock on the gfx might get in contact with the hdd caging :(...
