Hey guys, putting a system together using the above case. Was hoping for some tips from others that have used the same case as I am not finding it that easy, being my first sff build.

How do I get the cdrom fixed, do I have to take the front panel and hdd cage out to get to the screws to fasten it in place?

I have the mobo and all componants on the tray but it's not easy to get cable access. Do you just insert the mobo tray and fumble around until all cables are in place or is there a better way. Not finding it easy at all.

This unfinished build is in danger or becoming a permanent ornament in my room.

Thanks for the advice and the link mi, will have another go when I perhaps have more patience as perhaps that is the missing ingrediant here. :)

Hey grumpy, thanks for the advice. Hopefully it will be finished by xmas but you never know. ;)

I have one of the sycthe mini ninja's as well. Did you have difficulty with the clips on that? I felt like I was almost standing on the damn thing to get the clip in place. At one stage I did not even care anymore if the mobo smashed into little pieces as I was going to get that %$£% thing fitted if it was the last thing I ever did !

I got it on in the end but hell, god knows how I did not crack the mobo!

Maybe it's just me that has these difficulties?

lol :p

Thanks again for your advice grumpy. One problem I have come up against is the hard drives seem to need right angled sata and power leads for the fan and hard drive bay cover to fit back in place. Did you come up against this issue?

I am also finding it difficult to get my Asus Xonar Essence STX Sound Card installed as leads need to plug in along the top of the card and this would make it impossible to get the mobo tray back in. I had to slide the tray in and as luck would have it there is then a little space above to manouver the plug into the top of the card and into it's socket.

SFF builds are not for the impatient. I just hope windows 7 is still current when I get it finished otherwise i've wasted £80 on my pre ordered professional edition lol. :)

Thanks again for your advice guys, build is still not complete due to work commitments. Will hopefully give it another go soon when I have the right angle sata cables as they definatly won't fit with the fan on the hd bay cover. I changed the fan and it does not have the grill thing on the inside so that does not help either so will have to get one of those. I will give it a few more goes but if I still can't figure it out it's big hammer time and back to standard case for me. Maybe I'm just too old for this now, never used to be a problem. Lack of patience maybe.

It's f"#$$%! beat me, I give up!!!!

How anyone can build one of these things is beyond me. Every cable I try seems to be a mile too long, I can't find where to plug the fans in, cdrom is imposible to install in the case, loads of cables and leads over it's driving me bl@@dy bananas.

I would rather be tortured with a red hot poker than spend another minute trying to put this damn thing together.

I have obviously bitten off more than I can chew with this one. I've built pc's before but I now feel old and useless lol. :(

If anyone puts these things together for a living let me know. I am in North West London but make fairly frequent visits out West to Mid Wales/Herefordshire so anywhere along the way.
