has anyone had parts sent from them from china and if so did they get hit by customs mine are saying charges raised on tracking

Normally tax and duty etc. is paid before receipt of the goods. I remember ordering a couple of items from USA and I had to pay parcel force using their online system. Ended up adding a fair whack onto the total price to be honest.

Unless it is marked as a gift, it is likely that you will have to pay customs unless it is very low value.
