Just a heads up for those who might have missed it but the 5.3 release of LibreOffice has now introduced a ribbon type toolbar....

more can be read about it here....

I will be installing it later on my home PC to try this out, decided to go for the 64bit version.

MUFFIN is an acronym. It stands for ‘My User Friendly & Flexible INterface’. You can see why we’ll just call it MUFFIN.

You need to read further down the linked page to enable the experimental features within LibreOffice and so allow the use of the toolbar.

It was actually an option a couple of builds ago IIRC.

Not impressed, the "ribbon" interface still looks ugly and unfinished, with buttons arranged haphazardly, text not lining up properly and button images missing. Yuk.

^^^ Got to agree with your findings. It seems to look better in that gif than it does when I tried it out. A step maybe in the right direction, for those who want it, but a way to go yet.
