Morning All

I got a TS20 around this time last month (Crossing fixed white line - £60 fine + produce)

I submitted my licence within a couple of days - and paid the fine by sending the little form with my debit card details on around 7 days ago. The money hasn't been debited from my account but the recored delivery is showing it was delivered in plenty of time (you get 28 days).

Does anyone have any experience regarding how long you may have to wait before getting your licence back (I'm gussing someone has to put 3 points on it before it comes back)? I've tried calling but get nowhere.

Only reason I ask is I've got a track day next weekend and for some reason they need a copy of my driving licence  and I don't want to go without it and then miss out on a go in something I really want to drive!

Have you got the original producer (not sure what you would get for that offence)? I havent had one for a while, but i got a long yellow form from the copper, i took this and my licence to the station and the officer there filled it all in and took my licence off me. The yellow form was then my licence (as stated on it) until i received my original back. Was good enough to hire cars with.

All I've got is a fixed penalty notice that I got at the roadside

EDIT: its not yellow

The offence code on it is EE07 "contavene white lines" - its got a box on the bottom they filled out when I surrendered my licence so I assume it must be my licence until I get my other one back then (which makes sense - Ta!).

I have to admit I'm only guessing this is a TS20 with 3 points - it doesn't actually state it anywhere on the ticket I got (Forces seem to use there own offence codes - not dvla ones)

The licence would not have been sent to the DVLA, but rather the fixed penalty office, who would endorse it and return it back to you, but the timescales vary from fixed penalty office to fixed penalty office.

For the trackday if they use the service there is a car hire/third party number they can call to confirm your licence details over the phone with the DVLA once you've left your permission with the DVLA to confirm your details.
