Hi all,

need to get some work asap and there is always van driving work.

Quick question though, 3.5 tonne driving, what do you need on your licence to drive one?

I've cat B and B1:

Category : B1
You can drive 3 or 4-wheeled vehicles up to 400kg unladen or 550kg if intended to carry goods

Category : B
You can drive vehicles up to 3,500kg Maximum Authorised Mass (MAM) and up to 8 passenger seats, and a driver, with trailer up to 750kg; trailers over 750kg if combined weight of vehicle and trailer isn’t over 3,500kg and the fully-loaded trailer doesn’t weigh more than the unladen vehicle

is the 3.5 tonne truck laden or unladen weight? Daft question i know but i've not slept properly in days and my brain is fried!

excellent, thank you both and despite losing your job it's always good to know that at this time of year there is seasonal work about :)
