License plate issue/query

Ok help me out here. I'm looking to buy a cheap runabout, max budget a couple of k. I saw this lexus,

Ok the photos show it's plate as YS02PFJ

However a vehicle check showed a plate change history of...

So the plate changed a month ago and now it's on the market with the original plate. So alarm bell are ringing. It looks like a decent enough car and the sort of thing I'm after but this seems dodgy. Nothing else adverse showed up on the vehicle report
 
Could just be a bit of a mix up? I'd imagine it was put on a private plate in 05, and then changed back to the original ready to sell...
 
So why doesnt the history show it being re registered to the old plate? Don't they have to do that? It just seems odd to put a personal plate on it a month ago and then sell it with photos of the original
 
Are you sure that you haven't mixed the dates up? It does seem strange yes, and i would imagine it's an admin mess up rather than what has actually transpired.
 
The plate it got changed to doesn't look right, looks more like what a trader would throw in the window.
