I have been looking about but finding it hard to get the info im after.

Windows server 2003 SBE - says it has 5 licenses, what dose this cover? OS's? Office? etc.

Iv managed to get myself very confused looking at all the crap the internet has to offer.

Thanx

It means you can have 5 computers connected to it at any one time, the client computers all need their own operating system licence ie.. Windows XP Pro and office etc...

If you want to connect more computers to the server, you need more server client access licences

ok thats a bit clearer than a 5page write up.

For Office can u get away with one license if you use terminal services?

No. And to use TS, you'd need to license that as well.

An SBS Cal covers for for access to any SBS services you purchased (Exchange/SQL/Windows). If you ever upgrade, you will then need to Cal these up seperately.

Terminal server cal's are about £60
Windows Server CAL's are about £30
Exchange CAL's are about £50 each

at 20-30% for SA as well if you need it.

so imagine the cost of three new shiny Citrix servers, need 100 Windows CAL's, 100 TS Cal's and 100 Citrix licences. Total Hardware cost £6000, software cost - ~£20k...
