Lid closing not working

Hi

I have an Asus Zenbook and previously it would 1) put the laptop to sleep when cloisng the lid on battery power as per the options I had set and b) when connected to an external display it would resize the display correctly when closing the lid.

For the last week when I close the lid the laptop doesn't go to sleep and when connecting an external display the screen doesn't resize.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? The windows action when closing lid look correct.

Try looking at the power settings, when plugged in they often change so it doesn’t do anything when the lid is closed
