Here and There...
I have a need for a new extendable cordless hedge trimmer as the battery for my ancient flymo sabre cut has finally given up the ghost. It only gets used a couple of times a year to keep a large chunk of privet in order and to trim my allotment hedges so I was thinking about replacing it with this:

Just wandering if anyone has used this or any of the other Lidl 40V tools an had any good/bad experiences to share.

Not used the garden tools but I bought a few of the power tools recently. Same brand I think and I love them. A drill and impact driver for 60quid. Absolute steal. Really powerful too.

I think I'm going to give it a go for £129 the ancient flymo with it's huge over the shoulder battery pack was up to the job so this must be!

So I picked one up and ct the hedges got to say for the price it's pretty good. Build quality is exactly what you would expect plenty of cheap plastic and it's not super light weight. That said it works really well extends a really long way and has plenty of oomph. If it lasts the tree years of the warranty it will have been a decent buy!

Was that an intentional pun? Haha!

I was looking at them today.. I decided £129 was just too much. A, few weeks ago aldi had a corded one for £49 but I missed out.. Screwfix have one for 99 can't remember if it's petrol or mains Cordless definitely attractive but I personally can't cope with the price tag . Sounds like it's functional without being flash. Another Lidl success story :-)
