People seem impressed with the kidney belts, thermals and tank bags.

Wondered if people had any experience with the more "serious" kit like Jackets, Trousers and Boots?

I got a jacket and gloves from the last bike gear sale they had. They're great, well worth the money imo. The helmets were poor in the last sale so I avoided them

I got some headsets and they were rubbish. Checked out the other gear but it was all pretty poor and I wouldn't trust their crash helmets.

aldi did something similar a while back (couple of years maybe?), the boots i bought are still holding up :)

I'll be grabbing a tank bag and a cover, in prep for rally season :P

first one is in 4 weeks!

Are all stores going to be carrying this stock, Anyone Know?
Seen some bits I wouldn't mind :)

Most of them should have the gear. Only the tiniest of stores won't, although as it's small stuff they should all be doing it, it's only stuff like HUGE TVs that the smaller ones don't stock.

When you enter your postcode into the webpage it finds your closest one, so if the gear is shown there, they will stock it.

I have the tank bag, had it for about 2 years now. Its pretty spacious, has lockable zips and a waterproof cover for if it rains. See through map pocket with room for phone/gps etc. Very good value and would buy one again if this ever breaks/dissapears etc.

Am going to get the bike cover this time round, will let you know how I get on with it.

Like others have said, I wouldn't like to trust the helmet too much - much prefer to have something a bit more expensive/better quality. I wouldn't touch the lock either, although its a 'hex' key, it still looks like a bit of fiddling with a Biro lid might get it undone.

Scary prices! I couldn't do it. I wouldn't trust the lids no matter if they meet standards. I'd like to see a comparison of force distribution of what the heck between those and say a Shoei.

The jacket isn't triple stitched or whatnot is it? If they had hip protectors I'd be interested, but those can be got elsewhere for not much I think.

I wonder who makes the disc lock they're selling.

At that cost helmets are not for proper use, but what about temporary use? For example when giving someone a lift and then storing it on a helmet holder thing?

I cant see what difference it makes tbh, either way, if your head hits the ground you want the best protection possible.

May get a flipfront helmet for the reasons mentioned above. Passenger only, I will stick to my Arai Tour-X for normal use. Not that I carry a pillion that often..

I was planning to get some gear this weekend as I passed the DAS a few weeks ago. Might try the gloves and boots.

So thanks for the heads up.
