I was wondering what peoples opinions are on this, im currently running a 939 chip with IHS removed on a thermaltake water cooling system.....ok yes its rubbish but putting the rad in ice water was a bit of good fun.
Anyway the pump is very noisy and the temps are all that amazing so ive decided to get a air cooler, had a look around and seem that the ocz vendetta 2 is one of the best(for £25 anyway) so i bought it, it should arrive in a couple of days, my only concern when looking at it is, theres 3 heatpipes, im wondering if the cpu core is only in contact with one of the those pipes(say the middle one) then its gonna be pretty rubbish?
Or that theres space inbetween the pipes so the core in theory with have parts that arnt incontact.
I still have the IHS saved so i can bang that one so it spreads the head, what does everyone think?
