Life Project is a new and upcoming mod for ArmA 2 and is rapidly overtaking its rivals and main competitors City Life and this is truly amazing for a mod that is still in beta.
Just a little bit of informatoin about Life Project:
It is still in Beta however they're doing very frequent updates (usually one every few days to a week) these updates will either be adding in more content which may have come from listening to their users on the suggestion page in the forum, or they may be fixing a bug someone reported earlier that day but one thing to note is that the admin are very very good a responding to bug reports etc and fixing the game and making it better.
The mod is obviously a RPG (Role play) so you have a number of role to play these are:
Civ
Police (different factions withing the poilice like traffic patrol and armed respone)
Emergancy Services (Ambulance and Fire)
And finally Coast guard.
The mod has its own launcher and encrypter password and server to keep hackers to a minimum and there is always an admin on which will pick up on hackers and explioters extremely quickly and ban them.
The mod is played on Taviana
There are loads of cool addons like extra guns (Desert eagle, UMP45 for example)
Extra cars like rangerovers, hummer H1, BMW and more.
They have a variety of ways to make money ranging from a little bit of fishing at the coast to planting and dealing weed in the crop fields.
So, what's there to do?
Well first of as a civ the best thing to do is grab a push bike, grab a fishing rod and go fishing selling any fish you catch at the market place. However as you gain money you can soon purchase a second hand car and pick to go mining with. You then slowly work your way up untill you can afford the luxurys like a flash sports car or maybe even a gun to protect youself with.
Or if none of that legal stuffs for you then why not jump in a boat buy some drugs seeds and do abit of drug running however you run a risky game. With frequent drug raids from the police and other gangs of drug dealers looking to make money you're putting yourself at an extreme risk of getting in trouble. But man is rewarding when you pull off a 30000 shipment of drugs without any catching you. There is other ways then just drug running. Maybe you wanna hold someone at gun point and try and steal there money or car or maybe even take a guy hostage and demand a ransom from the cops but man are you guoing to have to be carefull to do any of that stuff and very good to get away with it.
There is a lot and I mean a lot more stuff to be added to this mod what we have to remember it is still in beta and only been publicly released for a week or two now so tons more features will be thrown our way in the not to distant future but please please please don't let this put you off as there is still plenty to please anyones gaming needs! Its a brilliant mod atm and I just can't wait to see what the mods have up their sleeves for us!
I have a somewhat limited knowledge of the other roles as I have yet to explore them myself however I would say that police and Emergancy services are pretty easy to guess what you do.
What are the people like on the server?
The community on this server is actually truly amazing and like no other I have played on before. Everyone is extremely supportive of eachother and very friendly. I have yet to meet a really bad person (except one who was dealt with but we'll go onto that later) that has ruined my experience on the game. Everyone pulls together and we have a great laugh and we've even organised community event like earlier today the civs went on a riot (I wasn't involved
) but they all went in a riot and before that the mods thought it would be cool to add some new features in so they added riot gear for police and horse etc and stones for the civs and seemed like great fun!!
What's the running of the mod like? (Admins etc)
All the admins on this server and impeccable. They're everything you need in an admin and development team. Theyare quick to respond and easily accessible. Everyone of them is approachble and more than happy to help you anf they go beyond there duty. For example taking time out there night to sit on TeamViewer with me troubleshooting a problem I had with the launcher and me and this admin where thinking for some time about what could be the cause of this issue. They're extremely good at responding to complaints and issues as a certain issue I had with a member of the police was sorted very quickly and extremly effeciently by an admin(s) and they solved the problem in the best possible way. They are also great at keeping poeople in line and ensuring everyone is having a great time on the mod!
So in summary I would recomend this mod to ANYBODY who enjoys role play and wants to find a community who support and have fun together and is well administrated. Its a pleasure to play on this server and I just can't wait to see what they have in store for us in recent up dates. This is a true gem and anyone not playing this is missing out bigtime!

haha no Juss kidding you could have if you wanted and usually the admins are very quickly to respond and they have a dedicated team to getting new people in the game as quick as possible.
