Anyone have a special way of lifting the engine without a hoist?

i have good access to it, with it being the spitfire bonnet opening is huge and engine is minus cylinder head gearbox and all ancilaries, so how can i pluck it out?

Engine assembly probably only weighs 80-90kg in the minimalised state its in.

Lifting car over is def a no no chassis isnt wide enough and there is a crossmember and steering rack in the way.

This is the engine position to show how much room i have.

you are kidding i've changed the head hundreds of times and it weighs nothing. engine block i've only lifted a 1300 with gearbox and 3 of us managed to lift it. But that was with head etc.

Cheapest hoist i could find was £150.

Jeebus! You've changed the head hundreds of times and the block's still kicking around? What was wrong with it that you had to service it so frequently?

stuborn series of problems and 2 different cars witht he same engine, done 7 headgaskets on these engines, hence taking it out now to sort it once and for all.
