Light for a keyboard suggestions?

I use my laptop in not very good lightening. I know some keyboards light up, mine does not. What would you suggest I should do for this problem? USB light? If so any suggestions and would it drain on battery life? Booklight any suggestions? Someone told me you can get a skin for your keyboard that makes it glow in the dark, not seen anything in this country that can do this. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
