I've been playing around with photography for a while and fancy expanding to learning with extra lighting now. Are there any recommendations on what to go for in terms of interior studio style lights? I'm just using a Canon 100d with a selection of lenses, nothing fancy. Done a fair bit of outdoor photography so fancy expanding things now.

Cheers!

I have the same question, and by chance the same camera (albeit 5 years on…) :D

Are there any useable lighting options in the £50-150 range? My use case is that we usually get portraits of the children done at the local ASDA and their setup is quite basic (1 light source, simple backdrop) I’d like to do it myself and use the setup for other random portraits too - Halloween, birthdays, back to school, etc.

I would recommend reading The Hot Shoe Diaries by Joe McNally.
You can have a lot of fun just using speedlights.

I've had great results using Magmod accessories (most bought from ebay) with speedlights. without having to resort to using studio style lighting. Plus they are very portable.
