I need to get a light tent to improve my photography for reviews I do of PC components etc.

I know I need 120cm as that's the size that's big enough to fit an actual case in, and I know I need some lights also.

There's no end on the bay, but I haven't a clue what to go for , and don't have the time I would like to learn all about them and make my own informed decission so I am pronating myself at your feet.

I've got £150 to £200 to spend.

Pretty sure OCUK won't be bothered with links as they don't sell this stuff or anything like it.

All help and advice appreciated

They are a PITA to get them set up with a lot of room! I do small product photography, and have a Lastolite tent, and an eBay special. I bought the daylight lighting set from here:

Work well, very very bright, and the energy saving bulbs help keep electricity costs down! Because I do small scale, I use a large ceramic white tile as a backdrop. The coloured backdrops you get in the cheap kits are really really poor, no idea what Steves Photo Shop is like for the cubes, I only bought the set of lights and stands.

I did a bit of research, and found that the best bulbs are the 5K ones, as this is closest to natural daylight colours.

I am still experimenting, and find it difficult as I do not have the time to really have a good play! I do not have the room to keep it set up, so rarely get the chance to just 'play' with them!

Those are all the sort of things i'm on about, just I have no idea if there's any difference between them. e.g. what should I look for in lights, how many do I need.

and KD. I'm on the ragged edge with Mrs Dubs as it is with the house being half full of PCs and components.

She's not exactly going to be over the moon when I tell her what the guest bedroom is about to be turned into.

I might be needing the garage to sleep in before too long.

I bought an 80cm x 80cm Light tent of ebay for about £14 and it works great didn't need to buy any lights as I use my elinchrom strobes, one either side with soft boxes gives nice soft even almost shadow free light, I'm sure you can get 'em bigger if you need and might be worth it to experiment with before splashing out on a named brand....you never know you might even not need to go down that route at all !
