Light up your life!

20 lightbulbs at 100W each would consume 2kw, or about 20p an hour.

24hrs x 20p x 365 days = £175

So to consume £700 a year you'd need 80 lightbulbs in your house switched on 24/7. Come on. Really? 80 of these lightbulbs would cost £1,758.

80 of the standard energy saver bulbs would cost in the region of £30 and cost £140 a year to run, compared with the £35 for the 4.5W LED bulb.

A quick calculation shows it would take 17 years to break even on the cost between LED lamps and standard energy savers.

whoever your product manager is got taken in badly with the supplier of these bulbs marketing drivel......i think you should sack him/her tbh

Average home, £700 quid saving! Big claims and looks like from the responses OCuk have been totally pwned :) Stick to selling graphics cards and I will stick to 50p energy saving bulbs..
