Hi guys,

These are now back in stock :)

Antec Soundscience Halo 6 LED Bias Lighting Kit @ £6.98 inc VAT

CA-179-AN_400.jpg

The soundscience halo 6 LED bias lighting kit™ makes it easy to outfit your monitor with professional backlighting. Bias lighting is an illumination technique for reducing eye fatigue and increasing perceived image clarity during long gaming sessions and extended periods of computer use. The halo 6 LED bias lighting kit™ adds a subtle white backlight to your monitor, reducing the eyestrain caused by differences in picture brightness from scene changes in movies, TV shows and video games. The color and brightness of the LEDs are carefully calibrated to achieve the optimal viewing experience. Bias lighting also increases your monitor’s perceived contrast ratio – making blacks blacker and colors more vibrant. Installation is easy – simply attach the LED strip to the back of your monitor and insert the USB plug into an open USB port on your computer or powered USB hub. The soundscience halo 6 LED bias lighting kit™ complements any monitor up to 24” in size.

Ordered 1 of those monitor LED strips... nice!

By why don't you do smaller strips of the flexible LED strips :( they'd be perfect for what I want.

I use that LED Bias lighting kit. You really need your monitor against a light coloured wall for any of the benefits.

Just ordered one of the lighting kits, one question though, how far does the back of the monitor be from the wall to reap any benefit?
===========

LED light bulb = what's the colour temperature of these please?

- Remoted control for changing settings and switching on/off
- Cuttable to size

For the bit you cut off, is this still usable? Can you buy extra controllers? Can you wire up two bits you've spilt to light 2 areas up?

Got myself one of the Antec LED kits the other day, it works surprisingly well and really does help when working in a room with low/no light. Could do with a slightly longer cable though, and a switch/button to turn it off would be useful seeing as some PCs keep the USB ports powered all the time.

I'm using mine with a 20" monitor and getting a nice amount of light from it, I'd say you could probably go up to a 23" or 24" and still get a decent benefit from it but anything larger and you probably won't.

It does indeed look very lovely on my BenQ 24" monitor

It reduced eyes strain so well. Perfect for a long sesh of Diablo 3 :D

At this super cheap price you can't complain

Hm.. the heat from my BenQ is wearing away the glue on the strip ;p

Any ideas of how to keep it on chaps? for those who don't know BenQ's 24" model above is like a small radiator for heat lol

Hot glue? A few **** (why the hells does it blank out "d.abs"???), not a big long strip :D

Or get some foil and stick that to the monitor, then the led strip to the foil.
