What's the proper way to do it?

Are the local recycling plants supposed to have a bulb bin or something?

I think im just one of the bad guys who just chucks em in a cardboard box or something then into the bin with all my other junk

I just throw them away in a box.....

Although local recycling centre had a metal container for the tube phosfuresant (spelling....I know

) bulbs

The normal ones aren't too bad as they are just glass and metal but the energy saver and fluorescent tubes are nasty as they contain mercury vapour - don't breathe the fumes if you break one! :eek:

^^ Indeed, mercury vapour is exreamely toxic.
