Bit of a random one. I have a G5 and I'm not sure what I prefer. Do you guys prefer a heavier or lighter mouse?

Like I said a bit random :D

I have G5, maxed out the weights, but also run at 2000 Dpi. Interestingly my Razer Copperhead which broke, then I got ye old soldering iron out and fiddled with, felt a lot more sensitive.

I've a G9 without any weights. I guess that's light then but what I really prefer is low-profile mouses like G9 and MX310. Really dislike G5 and other similar mouses though I did use a G5 for a year or so and still have it somewhere. Just never felt comfortable playing with it.

The mouse important thing to me in a mouse is the height/profile as i'm a claw grip user. I can't use most mice because they are too tall and force a palm grip.

G5 @ 200dpi with a couple of 1.7g weights. They don't really make any difference though, I just stuck them in there for the hell of it.

The MX518 is Perfect for Me in Every single way.

I know this is completely off topic - but why do you capitalise random letters? Always been curious..

/ontopic.

Recently swapped my mx518 for a G9x, keep swapping weights around every day, can't say I notice much difference.

The again do do much 'competitive' aiming these days, I'm sure if I was still playing 1.6 it'd be a whole different story.

In general I prefer a slightly heavier mouse, I don't like the feeling that if I left go of the mouse it will keep sliding (although I know some do). Also why I use a cloth pad (relatively high friction).

I think there are guys who plant their wrist and aim with their fingers, and guys who move their whole arm to aim.

I have my mouse set very sensitive, and move with my fingers.

I always adjust to the weight and friction. The dpi I notice and the sensitvity is always about the same though. Although I'm not exactly Mr hotshot I do go through patches of good form.
