My computer was recently hit by lightning and smoke came out of it, as well as a smell of smoldering. and the external modem was destroyed My insurance company say they have checked it and that the power supply unit is also destroyed and some USBports are not working but everything else is. However they claim that fitting a new power supply unit will suffice. I feel unconvinced about this -am I right? Should I ask for compensation to build a replacement as I don't have confidence that it will be as good as before? Any views or comments much appreciated
